(Applies to U.S. Cleaners Also)As you are looking on here your first step is obviously an internet search, this may come up with a local, good quality carpet cleaner, and it is important that the cleaner is reasonably local as it's not very green if he has to drive 100 miles! Try narrowing your search to something like Southend green carpet cleaner, some areas are well covered with environmentally aware carpet cleaners and others are not yet, although through the carpet cleaning forums, principally 'Cleanitup' we are changing this. There are websites devoted to green carpet cleaners but as yet there is no organisation which is dedicated to this, maybe I should start one!How can I tell if the carpet cleaner is really green?All industries have their jargon and general bull and carpet cleaning is no different, there will always be people who will claim anything they believe will give them an advantage. Questions to ask would be.What chemicals are you using?Are you clean water rinsing? Asthma sensitization is often caused by enzymes and these should be avoided.Are you using the minimum amount of chemical which is conducive to achieving a high quality clean?
