  • Yay!!! coin bra is almost done!!
    • So the coin bra for my new costume is almost done.... it just needs something in the middle. I'm posting this because some of you might some ideas of things I could do. CAUTION: 3 PICTURES UNDER THE CUTThis one is a close up of the details on the bra. Sorry, these are crappy photos taken by my cell phoneThis one is me in front of the mirror taking apicture of me wearing it with a black choli underneath. I have a dorky look on my face because I was concentrating on getting the picture done. This one is a picture of the whole bra pinned to the couch and stuffed with some fabric to give the cups support.
  • Kuchi Necklace
    • I've inherited a Kuchi Heart necklace that I have up for sale on my Etsy, but I'm curious, where would something like this be worn? Just around the neck?
  • Tight skirts and non stretch fabric?
    • I want to make a tight egyptian style skirt that clings a little around the hips and bum. I know a lot of these are made up in lycra fabrics but what about non stretch? I have a beautiful silk charmeuse that would look lovely all ruched and clingy...But where do I put the zip? I've been looking up professional costumes online to see if it's possible but the costumes on dahlal rarely specify the fabric, so I'm wondering if it's lycra as standard or whether some higher end costumes are also made from non stretch. How much ease should I draft in if I use it? I don't want it loose and running around and I don't want to restrict my movement too much. Having said that, I like a belt to sit fairly tight on my hips so I would prefer this over a stretch costume that allowed for more movement.Any advice? TIA!xxx
