Plymouth Factoid:
Plymouth lies between the River Plym to the east and the River Tamar to the west; both rivers flow into the natural harbour of Plymouth Sound. The River Tamar forms the county boundary between Devon and Cornwall and its estuary forms the Hamoaze on which is sited Devonport Dockyard. Plymouth Sound is protected from the sea by the Plymouth Breakwater, built in 1812. In the Sound is Drake's Island which is easily seen from Plymouth Hoe, a large public area on top of low limestone cliffs.  Plymouth Corporate Events
