North Platte Factoid:
North Platte is a railroad town; Union Pacific Railroad's large Bailey Yard is located within the city. Today, North Platte is served only by freight trains, but during World War II the city was famous for the North Platte Canteen. Tens of thousands of volunteers from North Platte and surrounding towns met the troop trains passing through North Platte, offering coffee, sandwiches and hospitality.  North Platte Chocolate Fountain Rentals

    • Holy Food Imports sent this recipe to me after I ordered their food. It's very, very good and sure to be a family favorite. -- posted by Kathy Barnes
  • Peanut Butter Surprise Chocolate Cookie
    • I've had this recipe in my file forever! I made these and gave some to my kids and the neighborhood kids who were outside playing. They went wild for them! I kept having more and more kids show up at my door wanting some more! lol They are soft and have a nice peanut butter middle. Kind of reminds me of the commercial Hershey's cookies that are Reese's flavored. -- posted by beckerd
  • Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding
    • The hawaiian bread used in this recipe makes this one a keeper! You can drizzle a rum toffee sauce over it or a chocolate sauce over it right before serving. I prefer the chocolate sauce. I posted the recipes for both great sauces. I hope you enjoy this recipe. -- posted by Cooking in Missouri
