Hollywood Factoid:
In 1952, CBS built CBS Television City on the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, on the former site of Gilmore Stadium. CBS's expansion into the Fairfax District pushed the unofficial boundary of Hollywood further south than it had been. CBS's slogan for the shows taped there was "From Television City in Hollywood..."  Hollywood Chocolate Fountain Rentals

  • "heaven Sent" Chocolate Cake
    • Ladies and Gentlemen, I kid you not! This is the best Chocolate Cake I have ever tasted without a doubt. This cake is so moist,so wonderful its hard to describe any further. This is the only cake I have ever eaten that tastes wonderful enough on its own. It does not need frosting if you so choose. Its batter is so thick, feel free to throw in some chocolate chips. I promise you, they wont sink to the bottom of the pan. When ever I have made it, I like to keep it in the refrigerator. I think the flavor and the moistness is enhanced when it comes out nice and cold. Sit back and grab yourself a glass of milk and enjoy! -- posted by mamawheezy
  • White Chocolate Scones
    • It is amazing how good white chocolate is in a scone. Adding a few cranberries is a delicious way to 'spice them up' as well.White Chocolate Scones 2 c All-purpose flour1/3 c Granulated sugar2 ts Baking powder1/2 ts Salt1/4 c Unsalted butter, chilled1/2 c Heavy (whipping) cream1 lg Egg1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract6 oz White chocolate, cut into 1/2 inch chunksPreheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into 1/2 inch cubes and distribute them over the flour mixture. With a pastry blender or two knives used scissors fashion, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, stir together the cream, egg, and vanilla. Add the cream mixture to the flour mixture and knead until combined. Knead in the white chocolate. With lightly floured hands, pat the dough out on a floured work surface to a thickness of 5/8 inch. Cut circles in the dough with a biscuit cutter. Gather the scraps of dough together and repeat till all the dough is used. Bake scones on ungreased baking sheet for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. Place baking sheet on wire rack for 5 minutes, then transfer scones to wire rack to cool. Serve warm or cool completely and store in an airtight container. Makes 8 or 9 scones.
