Ohio Factoid:
The first religious settlement in Ohio was founded in 1751 among the Huron Indians in what is now the Sandusky area. Shortly afterward, Moravian missionaries converted some Delaware Indians to Christianity; the first Protestant church was founded by Congregationalist ministers at Marietta in 1788. Roots Based Organization Future of Jazz Makes A Difference
- Atlanta, GA--July 3, 2006-- The Future of Jazz is a roots based organization founded in February 2004 in Atlanta Georgia. The showcase evolved into a competition when Alonzo Craig, program director of The City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs needed a way to find the best local talent for Atlanta’s Jazz Festival.
