"Shake ya body like a belly dancer" says Akon in his song, "Bananza Belly Dancer." There's a reason Akon talks about belly dancers in his song - they're sexyand can make a event really entertaining. They can be a fun alternative for party entertainment. Asheville belly dancers also have a lot to offer - not only is their dance graceful, but sometimes they'll even educate you about the art of belly dancing at your event or party in Asheville. You may even learn some facts about Middle Eastern culture at your event or party. If this is something that interests you for your party, Partyfun411 has lots of listings of Asheville Belly Dancers for your party, Middle Eastern event, or wedding.

Asheville Factoid:
Drinking water in Asheville is presently provided by the Asheville water department. Until recently the direction of the water agency was shared between Buncombe County and the City of Asheville. The two governments are presently seeking agreement on water that could restore the previous intergovermental agency. The public drinking water supply in most areas of Asheville is presently fluoridated by the addition of hydrofluorosilic acid, at a rate of 0.9 to 1.1 parts per million  Asheville Belly Dancers

Belly Dancers News and Information
  • At Last
    • I can’t seem to get this to show in the Gallery yet, but this is my favorite photo so far. Behold the Fanciest Costume Combination I Own:
  • Beadspinners, beads and Glass Fringe?
    • Yes it's me again...I'm thinking of making some glass fringe again and I've been looking for tools to make it a bit less time consuming, I'm particularly interested in beadspinners.Okay, questions:- does anyone have a beadspinner (http://www.beadspinner.net) or an equivalent device? Do they make making beaded fringe any easier? Do they make it harder in any way? They seem useful for beading long amounts, but if I were making equal lengths - say 3"/4" - wide are they going to make making my own fringe any easier given i'd have to measure every strand? I have made my own fringe before using only a frame, needle and waxed thread - never again! It took forever!!!-Seed beads or bugle beads, which do you prefer? I like how fluid bugle beads look and the flat, reflective surfaces they have. I've yet to see fringe made from rounded seed beads although I know they do exist. Unfortunately the bead spinner is only compatable with seed beads. Is there any difference? I'd be using glass beads anyway.TIA!
  • Costume Woes and the Nearly Naked Lunch
    • It has been nearly a month since I’ve written anything. How the heck did that happen? Life in Bellydance Land has been… interesting. I am again on a major costume kick, mostly prompted by my realization that I Have Nothing To Wear. The downside of this realization is that I am no longer [...]
