- Human fat-powered boat?! Sounds weird, strange, odd. I found these news just recently and thought may be someone else haven't heard of fat-powered boat. Peter Bethune, New Zealand adventurer, built a boat that is powered by human body fat. He is going to sail across the globe on the new super high speed fat-powered boat called Earthrace.

- Sailboats were used from times immemorial. Desire to sail across rivers, seas and oceans prompted man to create a boat. The first records of boats were found on clay tablets in Egypt, made more than 6000 years ago. Many historians consider that ancient Greeks began to investigate the Aegean sea more than 10,000 years ago.
