  • Cold weather boating tip
    • When you're done fishing and before you leave the launch ramp, trim the outboard motor all the way down, remove the kill switch and turn the engine over for a just a second to pump out any water that may still be inside the motor. Remove any mud or plant debris from the boat or equipment and thoroughly drain livewells or anywhere else water may have pooled to stop the spread of invasive species. Storing the boat high and dry for two days before fishing a different body of water can also help, especially when its cold outside.
  • Save gas when fishing
    • Patterning fish close to the launching the ramp is one of the best ways to burn less gas. You might be surprised how good the fishing is near a ramp or marina. Many anglers bypass this water because they are too pumped up to get to their honey hole 10 miles up the lake. Launching your boat closer to your fishing spot not only saves gas, but it gives you more fishing time and saves wear and tear on your boat.Fishing near the ramp can provide a bonus for bass anglers because tournaments use boat ramps and marinas as weigh-in areas. Many tournament anglers also release their bass right there. This stacks fish up on nearby structure, such as points, weedlines, channel drops, fallen trees and stump beds. Fishing tips forum
  • 4x4 off road book
    • Did you know that many 4 wheelers teach you methods that don't work and could actually damage your truck? It's true! In fact...The problem you face is that you may get knowledge from your fellow 4 wheeling companion. Their knowledge is often limited in depth and many 4 wheelers you see off roading are using methods that worked back in the 1980's and early 1990's. They have not gone to the most extreme trails and often use the truck more for the highway than the off road. You might get stranded and stuck in the middle of nowhere with your infant kids and pregnant wife in a freezing 4x4 with a broken driveline and no way to communicate to rescue units and no way of giving them the location. As you sit helpless in the drivers seat and can do nothing to make the situation tolerable. That means that not only are you going off roading armed with the WRONG information on how to prepare, but you're surrounded by other people doing the same mistakes too. That practically guarantees nobody else may be able to help you out even if there are some 4 wheelers close by. If you're lucky you'll only loose time and patiens... if you're unlucky you or your loved ones could literally end up seriously injured or even dead and your truck could be damaged beyond repair with you having to pay for the retrieval of the truck.Click Here!
