Choosing Your Summer Wedding Invitation Colors
-
The colors you choose for your summer wedding impact all facets of your event. Your color selection will be weaved into everything from your bridal party’s attire to your invitations.
With so many venues for displaying your color theme, it’s best to be sure that you’ve chosen colors that look beautiful together and complement each other. Colors that will stand out in your wedding photos and be just as beautiful to behold now as they will twenty years from now.
As you ponder colors you might like to work with, remember that your color selection should please you and your fiancé. It is your wedding after all. Don’t feel as though you have to select popular, trendy colors. Oh no, if you have a fondness for a particular hue, definitely go with it.
Maybe you find traditional summer colors appealing like yellow, a reminder of summer’s abundant sunshine. How about various shades of green to accent the season’s lushness or blue to mirror the ocean or summer sky.

The Subtleties Aren’t Lost On Us
-
While a bawdy, gaudy metallic may be just the look you’re after, there are times when you’d rather sparkle demurely. The shiny surface of Gmund Colors Subtil (subtil … subtle … get it?) with its fine, micro-embossed mica surface on one side gives off a soft metallic glimmer that creates a softly chic, elegantly understated impression.
Imported from Germany's Gmund Paper Mill, this brand new line of metallic card stock is now readily available in the United States through LCI Paper.
Subtil is offered in nine shades of heavyweight 111lb. cover stock (310 grams) in a variety of sizes including full sheets and cut sizes. Subtil papers coordinate with LCI's selection of Gmund Colors stationery and envelopes as well as Contact Colors Vellum Translucent Papers.
The special metallic surface makes this paper unsuitable for inkjet or laser printing, but other printing techniques such as engraving and offset printing work wonderfully.
